When looking at the standard setup, the crankcase vapours, moisture and residual oil is being fed into the intake manifold.
This setup will not only give you a greasy inlet manifold, it'll also cost you performance, can cause detonation and may influence durability in a negative way.

By using a two tank system, oil will be removed from the valve cover and from the intake manifold.

Removing the oil mist will not only reduce the risk of detonation, it will also stop deposits from forming and doesn't influence the efficiency of the intercooler.
